Florida Senate Tries To Ban Fake Bull Testicles On Trucks.

Who said there weren't any rednecks in Florida?
I had no idea that, so called, "Truck Nutz" existed until I came across an article about a bill being passed in the Florida state Senate to have them banned.
Truck Nutz, for those of you who still don't know, are "fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of [many] trucks and cars." ( see photo above )
The Florida Senate voted last week to add the ban to a transportation bill. The ban is not included in any Florida House bill and is unlikely to become law.
Of course, this item can be purchased on the Internet with several sites selling them. One site even gives this warning:
"NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Bumpernuts are for static display only.
The end user is responsible for displaying them on moving objects.
WHEN USING THE HITCH HANGER, IT IS BEST TO USE A THREADLOCKER ADHESIVE, PEOPLE WILL STEAL YOUR BALLS.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY THEFT. AS STATED OUR HITCH LOCK AND RECIEVER ARE A PREVENTATIVE MEASURE. BUT PLEASE USE SOME GLUE ON THE BOLTS SO THAT SOME JERK CANT COME ALONG AND USE SOME TOOLS AND LEAVE YOU WITH THE HANGER AND THE LOCK. HANG AT YOUR OWN RISK."

They come in a wide variety of colors and sell from $15 to $40.
I'm not quite sure why anyone would want a set for his (or her?) pick up.
I don't know how popular Truck Nutz are outside the Sunshine state......but I should be careful about making comments about the intelligence of Floridians. That's a Georgia Bulldog on the tag of that pickup in the photo.
