More Work

I posted earlier that, now that the house is pretty much finished, we'll be having some much needed work done outside. Namely, a new fence and a proper gate.

My wife and her papa deal with the workers - I mostly check on them from time to time and photograph the progress.

It was my understanding when we began that the lower section of the fence would be a base of concrete blocks. I asked my wife this morning how high they'd go with the block.
"Up to here," she said, putting her hand at about the five foot level.

"That's not a fence," I said. "That's a wall!"

Of course, that's fine with me. Just a language barrier, so to speak.

I've already taken a good many photos.....too many for one blog post. There'll be more to follow.
