Global Warming and Religion

Looking at this photo of Al Gore, the first thing that comes to my mind is how similar this image is to the style of televangelists.....particularly, the style of the now disgraced Jimmy Swaggart.Today,I came across a piece in Catholic Exchange entitled Global Warming and Religion.Googling the subject, I find out that the idea isn't new. From Dec.2004,we have Meteorologist Likens Fear of Global Warming to 'Religious Belief' and from Feb. 2005, we have a piece called The New Religion is Global Warming .
As an aside, I think this jumping, screaming, televangelist persona is what ultimately defeated Al Gore in his presidential campaign. That persona may appeal to Liberal voters, but your typical, mainstream American finds that style a bit embarrassing.

It will be interesting to see if Al Gore wins that Nobel prize he's been nominated for. If he does it will indicate a political bias in the choice.
Leading scientists in every country that touchs the Arctic Circle (Canada, Finland, Iceland, Sweden, Russia, and US) except Norway say he is wrong about the ice shelves shrinking and the polar bears.
They also say his demonstration graph historically comparing heat in the atmosphere and levels of CO2 is being misinterpreted...that there is a relationship but he has it backwards. (Heat in the atmosphere is followed decades later by increased levels of CO2 rather than increased levels of CO2 leading to a warmer atmosphere).
