Sister Megan Rice Set For Immediate Release.

As mentioned in an earlier post, a U.S. appellate court has overturned sabotage convictions against 85 year old Sister Megan Rice and her fellow protesters, 66-year-old Michael Walli and 59-year-old Greg Boertje-Obed.

The court did uphold a lesser charge of injuring government property, defense lawyer Bill Quigley said he hoped the three would be re-sentenced to time already served, and freed.

Now, according to sputniknews.com, their attorney confirmed that the court had ordered the activists’ immediate release, and expects the three to be released over the weekend.

"We would expect the Bureau of Prisons to follow the order of the court and release them as soon as possible," Quigley said.
