New York Disenfranchises Voters Just in Time for Primary Election
When a "Red" State attempts to eliminate voter fraud by passing laws that require citizens to have proper IDs in order to register to vote, Democrats accuse the Republicans of trying to disenfranchise Democrat-leaning voters.
If Republicans really want to disenfranchise the electorate, they should simply follow the lesson provided by "Blue" States like New York where more than 125,000 Democratic voters were removed from the rolls.
Calling reports of voting irregularities in New York state "a disgrace", Bernie Sanders said, "It is absurd that in Brooklyn, New York -- where I was born, actually -- tens of thousands of people as I understand it, have been purged from the voting rolls."
The Clinton campaign had no immediate response.

Sanders wins Democrats Abroad Primary
On March 06, I learned, via Facebook, of the Democrats Abroad’s Global Presidential Primary . Rather than vote in the Primary, I left a comment on the Facebook page - "Vote Democrat?!?! You SOBs are why I left the country!!" - to which I received 6 likes.
Today I read on the Al Jazeera website, that Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton in the Democrats Abroad global primary contest - 69% versus 31% - giving Sanders 9 delegates. Clinton received 4.
According to results listed on the democratsabroad.org website, 139 Democrat ex-pats in Philippines voted in the primary, giving Sanders 79 votes to Clinton's 59. You can be certain of one thing......there are many, many more ex-pats in Philippines than the 139 who voted. I don't know the exact figure, but 139 is a drop in the bucket.
From my experience in the U.S., it appears to me that American men with Filipina wifes tend to be, more often than not, politically Conservative. Of course, that being said, the American/Filipina couples I know are living in the Southern United States which tends to vote Republican. That's anecdotal evidence, but I feel reasonably confident that the majority of American/Filipina couples in the remaining areas of the U.S. would yield similar results.
As an aside to a friend currently living in the United Arab Emirates, there appears to be more active Democrat voters in UAE compared to Philippines. The website shows 880 Democrat voters with 541 of those going to Bernie. I'll leave it to him to explain that.

Hamid Dabashi Endorses Bernie Sanders for POTUS
Hamid Dabashi, the Hagop Kevorkian Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, endorses Bernie Sanders for POTUS in an opinion piece for Al Jazeera.
As much as Dabashi hates Republicans - and believe me he really hates Republicans - his hatred for Hillary Clinton is greater; he writes:
"I would happily vote for Sanders in the primaries and hope he will beat Hillary Clinton and all her Republican cohorts and become the next US president. But even if he does not, there is no snowball chance in hell I would vote for Hillary 'Margaret Thatcher' Clinton, who I,in fact, consider an infinitely more dangerous warmonger than all those hot-air crackpot Republicans put together."
In his view, "Republicans are political non-entities and have no clue how to navigate legislations [sic] through Congress" and believes Hillary and Bill are "master practitioners" at getting both Houses of Congress to do their bidding. The Clintons will "...... will sail through any legislation that will facilitate dropping more bombs on brown and black people around the world and could not care less if their liberal domestic agenda are stonewalled in the Congress".
He adds,"Billions of human beings around the globe have every reason to be scared witless of a vicious imperialist presidency of Hillary Clinton".
I can't argue with Dabashi's views on Clinton, but he's clueless regarding the Republicans. His obvious hatred for Israel and the Republicans' support for our ally has clouded his judgement.
I'm not sure how much Dabashi's endorsement will help the Berninator, but if it pushes Sanders over the top, so much the better.

Hillary Feels the Bern in New Hampshire
I may have been premature when I discounted my blog category, The Hillary/Bernie Slugfest in a post from January 1st.
According to a recent Fox News poll, "Bernie Sanders is ahead of Hillary Clinton by a 50-37 percent margin among New Hampshire Democratic primary voters".
With the Bernster beating Clinton by 13 points in New Hampshire, this may actually turn into a horse race.

Bernie Sanders Versus Black Lives Matter.
I am certainly no fan of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, and it isn't really my place to speak in his defense, but I see something a bit out of kilter with his being attacked by members of Black Lives Matters.
On Saturday, Black Lives Matters activists disrupted an event in Seattle where Sanders was scheduled, prompting Sanders to leave without giving his speech.
This wasn't the first time Sanders has had a run in with protesters from the movement.
Last month in Phoenix, protesters affiliated with the Black Lives Matters movement took over the stage and disrupted an interview with Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.
Do these protesters actually believe that the Vermont senator doesn't agree that Black Lives Matters? That they would attack someone who makes President Obama look like the Chairman of the local Tea Party group, strikes me as completely absurd.
The only explanation that makes any sense to me is the very real possibility that these Black Lives Matters activists are in the payroll of the Clinton camp.
Bernie Sanders is riding pretty high among Democrat Progressives. An attack by a race based group might be Clinton's only way of pushing Sanders downward in the polls.

Time For Democrats to Switch Gears?
Even as she coasts toward coronation, not everyone in the Democrat Party supports Hillary Clinton for their Party's nominee for POTUS. There are so many Democrats unReady for Hillary, if fact, I had prematurely created a label for posts on this blog entitled The Warren/Clinton Slugfest. Unfortunately, we have as little chance of being entertained by that match-up as we were by the recent Mayweather - Pacquiao love fest.
In a piece for Al Jazeera, co-founder of US Uncut, Carl Gibson writes that the draft Warren movement needs to end. Gibson contends that, contrary to the wishes of Progressive Democrats, Senator Elizabeth Warren has no intentions of running for POTUS and those folks believing otherwise are hurting the chances of Democrats more suitable than Clinton.
The highlight in the article for me was Gibson's quote from Late Night host Seth Meyers regarding those who won't take Warren at her word, "If you asked a girl to prom this many times without a yes, they would ask you to transfer schools".
Gibson's solution?
In Gibson's plan, Democrats should immediately switch their allegiance from Warren to..........Bernie Sanders.
Without realizing it, Gibson has hit on a plan that will equally please hard Left wing Progressives and hard-line Conservatives on the Right.
I can hardly imagine any Democrat that Republicans would rather run against than Bernie Sanders.
Even when we disregard the Left versus Right component of a race between Sanders and any Republican who might win their Party's nomination, there is a recent YouGov poll showing that 92 percent of Americans prefer a presidential candidate under 60. News flash - Bernie Sanders hasn't fit that demographic for a long, long time.
With The Warren/Clinton Slugfest no longer a viable option, perhaps I should create a label entitled The Hillary/Bernie Slugfest.
