Purple is the New Orange.

The BBC has announced that the network will begin production soon on a semi-reality program based on the adventures of the western tourists arrested in Malaysia on charges of stripping naked atop Mount Kinabalu.

Reliable sources inform us that the program is tentatively titled, "Purple is the New Orange".

I, for one, am looking forward to watching the program whenever it becomes available in my area.

Obama Campaign Working to Counter New Voter ID Laws.

From The Washington Post: (sort of)

President Obama’s reelection campaign launched a national drive Friday to counter new restrictive voter-access laws, which advisers said threaten his electoral chances in November.

The Obama campaign’s “weekend of action” is part of a field effort that in 2008 helped identify, register and turn out millions of new dead voters.

Those new dead voters gave Obama wins in unlikely places, including North Carolina and Virginia, where young and minority voters zombies helped make the difference. Turning out those zombie voters again this year is key to the president’s reelection strategy, but it is also more challenging this year in part because of the new voting laws passed by evil Republicans.

Michelle Antoinette.

A recent image of Michell Obama as Marie Antoinette has been called a right-wing media smear, and racist. Is it?
This isn't the first time  someone has seen a resemblance. I've also come upon a similiar portrayal here and here. No word yet from the Liberals on the political correctness of comparing Marie Antoinette to Dick Cheney,George Bush or Mitt Romney.

Denmark Joins Gore in Solar Lawsuit.

In a breaking story that can only be found on Internet News Network (I.N.N.) I've learned that the Kingdom of Denmark has decided to join former Vice President Al Gore in his lawsuit against Angeles Duran, owner of the Sun.
In a join press conference with Queen Margrethe, Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen made the announcement in Copenhagen earlier today.
As usual, I'm providing a link to the I.N.N. story:

Movie Review.

Ever the blogging pioneer par excellence, LarryD of actsoftheapostasy has done it again with his post, "Dan And Fran": An AoftheA Cinematic Presentation.

With the help of xtranormal.com, Larry has created a funny video satirizing the issue of women in the Catholic priesthood.

After viewing the video, I went to xtranormal.com and let me tell you, it's obvious that Larry put a lot of effort into making this little gem.

It gets my vote for the next Academy Awards.

Obama Prevents World War.

With our differences in opinion, it's not often that I compliment President Obama.
OK, well, I guess I've never given him a compliment, but, you know, I believe in giving the Devil his due, so to speak and when Obama does something right, then, by gosh, I need to point it out.

It was from this very important news story that I learned of the President's solving the world crisis brought about by Pastor Terry Jones' plan to burn the Qur'an on September 11th.

I am urging everyone to follow the link to the story on I.N.N.. Maybe this will earn Obama a second Noble Peace Prize.

Is it too late to Invest?

My favorite paragraph of the day comes from Jonah Goldberg's article, Obama's Tough Talk Is a Real Kick.

"Any day now, after thorough interagency review, the Standing Committee for Posterior Selection will have given provisional approval for a working list of asses for POTUS to kick with an OSHA-approved shoe. Alas, final environmental-impact statements are pending. But once that hurdle is cleared, the president will focus like a laser on ass-kicking."

I wish I had invested in those Obama Action Figures.

Obama's Latest Supreme Court Nominee.

In a surprising move, President Barack Obama has nominated Saturday Night Live alum Jon Lovitz to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.

Lovitz is the first nominee in almost 40 years without any experience as a judge.

During his announcement of his pick for the Supreme Court, Obama stated,
" I hadn't even considered nominating anyone from the long list of actors who had previously worked on Saturday Night Live until Al Franken was elected to the U.S. Senate and I witnessed first hand just how valuable this group can be towards the advancement of my agenda."

Sarah Palin's Turkey in the Interview Video Redux.

Sarah Palin is in the news now thanks to the tremendous response to her book, Going Rogue.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I thought it would be appropriate to post the Sarah Palin Turkey getting slaughtered video from last year. Going to Youtube, I found the uncensored version.

Enjoy.

Latma Video on Ft. Hood Massacre.

When it comes to biting satire - particularly when it pertains to the problem of Muslim terrorism - no one bites harder than Caroline Glick and her Hebrew language website, www.latma.co.il.

Recently, the website took a jab at the "politically correct" response to Palestinian terrorist Malik Nadal Hasan's horrible rampage at Fort Hood.
The video is in Hebrew with English subtitles.

Halloween Costume Update.

As I mentioned last week [Halloween Costume] some clever costume maker had come up with an "illegal alien" costume which was soon made "unavailable" because some "immigrants" had objected to it.

Being the politically incorrect person that I am, I felt I had to create my own to wear at a Halloween-slash-birthday party Saturday.
The orange jumpsuit was given to me by my friend Lowell (seen in the photo below wearing the clown costume) and the mask was something I picked up at Kmart....I added the antennae.

My home-made costume was a lot cheaper to make than the $39.99 (plus shipping) it would have cost if it had still been available online.

Obama's Resignation.

As usual, I started my day reading that magnificent blog, D'offus of the Big-Doofus. It was there that I first learned the news that Barack Obama is resigning as President of the United States.
You can't imagine how excited I am to read this.
The link to the Big Doofus post is My Resignation.
The whole story can be found on the Internet News Network web site...Obama Resigns.

A Blast from the Past.

While checking the Google Analytics this evening, I noticed that someone in Hendersonville, Tennessee (having run a search on the keywords "bud tugley") managed to get to a post of mine from March 2008. I re-read what I had written last year and felt it was worth re-posting for my new readers. So, here goes.

Last December I wrote a post about the heart warming story of the Alabama man who won $20 Million in the Georgia lottery.
Now, I have the privilege of announcing the marriage of lottery winner, Bud Tugley.
The complete story can be found on this link to the I.N.N. website.

Bearack Obearma.

From an email......

Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democratic Party .. as they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance.

This photo is of a Democrat black bear in northern Minnesota, nicknamed "Bearack Obearma".

Another Update on Another Post.

Last November, I received an email with a gif called "recess at the asylum".
Someone had taken a snippet from "Ace Ventura" and pasted on the heads of an assortment of Democratic Party loonies.

It's interesting to note the placement of the heads. Hillary Clinton is the main character....with Obama in the background. I wonder if the person would have put Obama in front had he created the gif after Obama's coronation.

I thought the gif was funny, so I put in up on my blog. [Recess at the Asylum]

Funny thing......since then, that post has generated more than 50% of all the traffic this blog gets on any given day. Type "recess at the asylum" into the Google search engine and my blog is number one.

That post also comes up first using Yahoo and Alta Vista.

Even though the post gets a lot of traffic, the bounce rate for that page is high too. That means that not too many of that page's visitors go one to look at other areas of my blog. I don't know how to correct that.

I'm going to try an experiment. I'll put the same gif on my D'offus of the Big-Doofus blog and we'll see what effect, if any, that has on the traffic for the Big Doof.
