Obama Nominates Another Pro-Abortion Monster.

True to form, Obama wants to add yet another pro-abortion demon to his administration. Dawn Johnsen, nominee to head the White House Office of Legal Counsel, is professor of Constitutional law and currently on the faculty at Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Her resume includes working for NARAL from 1988 to 1993.

In an article from TownHall.com , Steve King writes,

"Johnsen has condemned virtually every type of regulation of abortion conceived by a legislature and espoused a passionate pro-choice agenda throughout her career.
Her public records are dominated by pro-abortion rhetoric and criticisms of the pro-life movement."

The same article has this from Johnsen regarding abortion,
“The experience is no longer traumatic; the response of most women to the experience is relief.”

A Blast from the Past.

While checking the Google Analytics this evening, I noticed that someone in Hendersonville, Tennessee (having run a search on the keywords "bud tugley") managed to get to a post of mine from March 2008. I re-read what I had written last year and felt it was worth re-posting for my new readers. So, here goes.

Last December I wrote a post about the heart warming story of the Alabama man who won $20 Million in the Georgia lottery.
Now, I have the privilege of announcing the marriage of lottery winner, Bud Tugley.

Glenn Beck's Outfits.

It's not like I have any real beef with Glenn Beck.
He does come across as too emotionally whiny at times, but honestly, I haven't watched him enough to know if this is typical behavior for him.

Some view him as the new Conservative Talkmeister Wunderkind, but he's clearly no Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity.

I understand that he attempts to come across as a "man of the people" populist. OK. fine. Maybe that explains his wardrobe. Is he trying to show us how "regular" he is by dressing in such miss-matched clothing?

Does he really think he looks good with those plaids and stripes? A striped or plaid shirt looks ridiculous with a tie and sports coat.
I'm no fashion expert......but, geeze, Glenn....give us a break.

I think he should let his wife pick out his clothes.

An Update.

This past March, 17th, rather than write a typical St. Patty's Day post, I wrote a piece on the Uniting American Families Act.

As I wrote in that post, "passage of the UAFA would allow gay and lesbian citizens (and permanent residents) to sponsor their alien "permanent partner" for entrance into the country or for change of immigration status while in the country".

Needless to say, I was not sympathetic towards the UAFA.

At the bottom of each post now, you'll see five stars - which are widgets from outbrain.com.....a ratings and recommendations website for blogs. Checking the stats on outbrain today, I learned that yesterday someone gave my Uniting American Families Act post one star......one star is worse than no stars. One means they really hated it.

I checked my Google Analytics and I received only one visit to that post yesterday; that visit came from Pleasanton,California. (it's the A on the map).

Surprise, surprise.

I wish the person would have left a comment.

By the way; the five star rating from Ireland that's beneath the Pleasanton rating is from a post written in Feb. 2008- Incorruptible Bernadette Soubirous.

Hillary..."Who painted it?"

If you read the Reuters story, you would have read that Hillary Clinton placed a bouquet of white roses at Mexico City's Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe this past Thursday.

However, you would not know, having only read the Reuters' report, that after seeing the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary on display in the basilica, Hillary asked the rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Diego Monroy......

"Who painted it?"

Msgr. Monroy replied, "God".

After her visit to Mexico City, Clinton went to Houston, Texas to receive the Margaret Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
