In her opinion piece for the Huffington Post, Ten Things White People Need To Quit Saying, Melody Moezzi shows herself to be a racist with these comments:
"I know it’s hard for some to accept, but white people don’t get to determine what is and isn’t racist."
"If your race denies you power and privilege, then you can’t be racist."
Perhaps Ms. Moezzi should actually follow her own advice.............
"Just because you didn’t intend for something to sound racist, doesn’t mean it isn’t, and just because you don’t think you’re a racist, doesn’t mean you’re not."
It wouldn't hurt Ms. Moezzi to look up the definition of the word:
: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
: a person who believes in racism, the doctrine that one's own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.
